Non Vocational Program(s) Refund Policies
The application fee where applicable is non-refundable. (Our standard response time for all financial; inquiries is 24-48 business hours)
Nonvocational or specialization or advanced study certification program registration fee is due upon course registration for admission to the program and is 100% refundable only if admission is not successful due to any reason related to L.A.P.E.C.'s qualifying or criteria requirements.
In all other cases/situations a refund for the paid program registration fee (less a $50.00 CDN administration fee), will be given if a written request (via refund request available on contact us/support page) is received 5 business days prior to the start date and time of a given course or session.
There is no refund for video format courses if the course has already started and accessible. Refund request before 5 days from the start of the course is applicable only in live format courses or where video course class(s) has not started yet.
Program withdrawal is not accepted by telephone, email, fax or letter or after cut off time/date. L.A.P.E.C. administration must receive written Notice of Withdrawal, via the designated online web form-R only, before the applicable deadline as mentioned above.
Fee Collection and Refunds for Vocational Programs
To ensure that there is a clear understanding that a student has withdrawn, the student should read the law related to respective program type and format available via on the above details refund policy link and then notify the college in writing via refund form available on contact us/support web page. Students do not have to give a reason for their withdrawal from a program. The letter can be sent via designated refund form or by e-mail, or be delivered in person. This action eliminates any disputes or confusion over the effective date of withdrawal, which in turn can affect the amount of refund due to the student.
Being informed via above-designated form or email with refusal letter that an international student has been denied a study visa is the same as receiving a written notice of withdrawal.
All refunds will be paid in Canadian dollars. Refunds will be paid within 30 days of a student's notice of withdrawal from the program or within 45 days of the start of the program if a contract is cancelled because a student does not attend classes.

Students are responsible for textbooks and printed materials for any given program, subject to course requirements. P.D.L.E.S. will provide notes and materials via electronic delivery only (Downloadable notes via computer). Students may print and use the same if they choose.
Decisions on any given program cancellation or deferral due to a waitlist, insufficient registration or enrollment are made 7-10 business days prior to the program start date. If a student registers in the program and it is subsequently cancelled by P.D.L.E.S. administration, the program registration fee will be refunded 100% in 7 to 10 business days via the same medium as it was paid originally.
In the unlikely event that a student in any program fails what he/she has prepared for, the following policy will apply:
For specialization courses there is no free live course retake option.
1. Unsuccessful students will be required to retake the same full course again via video format at no course cost, and to go over the assessment again within 180 days from last assessment due date (assessment fee of CAD 50 will be charged).
2. Students who miss assignment/evaluation due date will not be eligible to attend/access final review class.
